      Pro level gunpla skills!

All of your builds always come out so clean and effortless looking, I'm always impressed looking at the result of your effort.
I too have been really irritated by the lack of a good affordable Master Chief figure. McFarlane Toys was really the poorest choice in manufacturer. I guess at least their paint was always nice looking. what I wanted was a more Figuarts approach with a sharp sculpt and good poseability that bandai is know for, and with a little effort on the user end you get the best of both worlds. I definitely want to get my hands on one of these!
Eagerly looking forward to your next review!

      Spartans Never Break

Thanks! Though not to surround myself with the ONI propaganda, "Spartans Never Break" I did have some issues with this model from my own carelessness.
Before my final strip-down of the model for its topcoat, I left it on my desk alone for an hour and my cat knocked the chest piece and helmet to the floor and I accidentally crushed them under my desk chair.

You see the picture of the helmet resting on the chest armor; that was my replacement set. So now I have portions of a Level 2 Master Chief to cannibalize spare parts from if I ever break anything else.
On the plus side, I now have a spare Assault Rifle for my Commander Palmer model (yes, build in progress).

As far as the McFarlane series, I've noticed they've gotten better. Their Halo 3 series are still junk, and I'll never forgive them for the the ODST figure that crumbled in my hand within seconds of opening the package. I got their "Cryo-Pod" Master Chief from their Halo 4 preview line and it's actually a nice figure. Very "Revoltech" inspired joint design but still a little stiff. The detailing is nice but their paint applications are a little too much.

With them making Halo 5's Spartan Locke, I'm hoping Bandai will release more models; my personal wish list includes Buck (ODST or Spartan IV), and the Mk V Master Chief from the first game.

Hey Rob, I got Sprukits Locke

Hey Rob, I got Sprukits Locke from Amazon.com

What paints should I use? Acrylic, enamel, lacquer?

Those one-coat Testors lacquers look real nice and my Dad uses them on car bodies. Their finish is candy-shell beautiful and they have nice metallics.

I want to paint Locke, but I wan to give him completely different colors than whats in the game. I want to go with a blue/orange/white combo like you'd find on a running shoe. Make him look sporty.

      Any advice?
